Its getting hotter and hotter.. I could never imagined this to happen.. This is a total hype.. All these grabbed my attention..

Well, frankly speaking i wouldn't talk much about this.. For whatsoever reason it is, it has happened.. Nothing can really erase this from our mind.. Once its in ur mind, forever it will be there..

Sad? Of course i am very sad, for being accused like this.. Nothing can be worst than being accused by your own friend.. May be, just may be people misinterpret my intention, be it good or bad..

Owh, Mai i've forgave for such accusation.. I wont blame you for this.. If am in your situation, i might do the same thing too.. But yeah, i wont give further justification regarding this matter.. All i know is the fact that, i wont and will never pretending to be other.. I'll get nothing for doing so..

VOTES CLOSED - GATHERING

Although there are 4 days left to vote, I'll be closing votes for the "Choose a day for a gathering " and "How do we gather?" due to some administrative consideration. I hereby announce the gathering would be held on the 15th March 2009 and we would be having a BBQ @ Serasa Beach. Well, there must be so many things that u'll try to prepare for the upcoming interview right? Well, just tips from me, whenever u are called up for interview or even a written test try to:

1. Check the details about the company.. Details such as the company profiles, their line of business and services and products..

2. Check the requirements of the possible position offered to u.. U may need to know some procedures or standards that might related to the possible position offered to u..

3. Whenever they asked whether u'r applying for part-time or full time position.. Always reply them that it is for the full time position..

4. Whenever they asked whether u'r planning to further ur study.. Always reply them that u'r not.. At least, tell them it wont be in the near future..

Okay.. I've heard news about u people were contacted for the financial planner/advisor position.. Ehehe.. The position sounds cool i know.. I was called last week by Kelvin.. Guess what? Its just another name of 'insurance agent', who has to go out and sell their insurance..

UBD Business 2009

The entry requirements to do Bachelor of Business (lions) at UBD, required the potential students will need 160 points for two 'A' levels or 200 points for three 'A' levels and at least a credit 6 in '0' level mathematics. The breakdowns of points are A-120pt, B-100pt, C-8Opt, D-60pt and E 40pt.

Under the Bachelor of Business programme, there will be three majors offered, namely Business Administration; Accounting and Finance; and Economics. On top of that, they will also be offering courses in governance and enterprise.

Students can also elect to expand their knowledge in different disciplinary areas, including, for some students, the combination of learning a foreign language, one semester studying abroad and a six-month internship, in addition to a strong disciplinary major will be a very appealing combination.

Another possibility is to broaden knowledge by taking a range of elective courses from different faculties across the university. It is also possible to gain a qualification from an overseas university so that students can add value to their UBD degree.

UBD is in the midst of discussions with universities overseas of the possibility of conferring the students with a degree during their third year abroad with the overseas universities, allowing the students to graduate with a double degree at the end of the four- year programme.

If you are going to be a practising accountant, you have to take the ACCA exam. There are three levels of exemption and the Accounting and Finance programme at UBD has been granted two levels exemption.

Askum and a very good morning to everyone.. Well, today i woke up so early.. Nah.. That is so not true.. I cant sleep actually.. It was another sleepless night.. Owh, i need to focus on this posting.. Otherwise, i'll talk about something non-sense here.. Hahaha.. :P

This morning, i had my breakfast with some friends and bought the bulletin.. Guess what, there is this UNISSA Admission Requirement.. Its a big whole page.. I would like to scan it for everyone benefits but the page is rather to big so i'll just quote, the relevant information here..

I'll ignore the programmes with Arabic medium of instruction.. There will be 3 programmes using English medium of instruction, namely:

1. Bachelor of Science in Islamic Finance

2. Bachelor of Business Management
* Entrepreneurship
* Information System Management
* International Business

3. Bachelor of Laws

Requirements:

Applicant applying for admission to English medium degree programme should have passed GCE A'level with at least minimum points of 160 in 2 subjects or 200 in 3 subjects, and the subjects should be at the minimum of grade D..

Applicant applying for Bachelor of Laws should also pass General Paper subject with at least grade B in A'level..

Applicant applying for admission to English medium degree programme should have obtained at least a credit 6 both in Mathematics and English language at O'level or an IELTS score of 6.0..

Applicant with HND should have obtained at least 'merit' passes in 5 subjects relevant to the degree programme..

All applicants applying for admission to English medium degree programme have to attend and pass a 3-month Intensive Course in Arabic Language starting 9 Mac 2009..

Applicant may be required to sit and pass the University Entrance Test..

So people, anyone of u thinking of taking the UNISSA programme? I strongly believe that its going to be so difficult.. It wont going to be easy.. Arabic knowledge is a must.. But, it worths the fact that its very marketable..

Point to be noted here, i bet there wont be any credits given to entrance using HND results.. Its still going to be a full time 48 months programme.. 4 years.. Not lesser than that.. Wait for the confirmation on the UBD / ITB Admission requirements then..

I might not remember the soon-to-be-accountants who's celebrating their birthday on January but February is just around the corner.. Some are going to have their birthday soon.. So whats the plan? Any ideas? Anyone planning to have a mini gathering? Please organize one lah.. I'll try to help here and there..

To those who plans to further their studies, doing the First Degree as an Undergraduates.. A gentle reminder here:

1. For those with GPA of 2.0 and above, go to the Scholarship section of MoE, as soon as possible and grap a copy of the form.. Due date to submit the form is 2 weeks after the A'level results is published.. Its 29th January today, so the due date will be on the 12th February.. No later than that day..

Should u not sure what to do, go and look for the University.. Make sure the Uni is within the Top 20 Universities in the world.. (if OZ lgi strict, its gonna be top 10 in OZ, it depends plg which scholarship yg u guys pohon). Please check the Uni status with the BNAC of MoE (Unit Akreditasi).. U can select up to 5 Unis.. Fill in the UCAS form and of course u have to prepase the Personal Statement too (mengarah lah u guys ni)..

Am wishing u all the best of luck.. Owh btw, do ask for admission into Top-up First Degree courses.. The general requirement entry is HND, so that u can do ur degree in a year time.. Otherwise, normal degree would take a maximum of 3 years.. But do also ask, whether u'll be awarded some credits.. This credits will help u, to shorten the course duration..

Say, usually it takes 3 years to complete the course, but with this credits award, the course may end in 2 years time.. Extra advice, if u want more credits, take degree course with units that u've done during ur HND.. *winks*

2. For those with GPA of less than 2.0 (many of us, are on this category), i never discourages people to study.. I always support eduactional matters.. Perhaps u can apply for a first degree course here, locally in Brunei.. Either opt to the UBD or the UNISSA and hopefully the ITB. With GPA of 1.0 or 7 merits (14 points), u can skip the 1st year of the course.. Go straight to the 2nd year, that is to the 3rd semester straight away.. Isnt it nice? U'll complete ur degree in 3 years time.. Hip!! Hip!! Hooray!! But i bet, if ITB do offer degree programme in Business, still u cant skip the 2 semester.. It wont be possible.. So the same i presume for UNISSA..

Let me have some breathing space.. A break from being a student.. I have enough as for now.. I've spent most of my lifetime as a student.. 23 years of learning and still learning.. Career world is not the end of the learning journey..

As of now, i know some of us is planning to further study namely Rahman, Mona and Jamz.. I knew some others would like to try as well.. Let me know the course that u intended to take.. Make sure u'r the one who makes such choice.. Dont let other people, do the decision making.. I strongly believe that, only you yourself know ur actual capabilities.. My personal advice, take what u love most..

Example:

If Faisal is going to further his studies, so my advice is not to take all the figuratives units.. Well, try to avoid so many calculations.. He is more to a theory-man..

In Rahman's and Mona's situation, i might think the otherway around.. Well, telling you the truth they're so damn good in calculations.. They have their own way of doing it.. Its in their blood, i think.. I must say, they do it with style.. I love u.. Hahahaha.. :P

Owh, extra bit of advice here again.. Moncel, as much as possible please avoid theoritical units.. Thats not one of your strength dear.. Stick to the calculation part.. Statistical and Financial units might be a best option..

Rahman? He's such a all-rounder guy.. He can do both sides, but much better in calculation of course.. He has this sort of unexplainable charm that i really dont know what.. Urm, work extra well with other people, share things.. U've nothing to hide coz u've lots to share.. Trust me.. But stay focus!! Jgn th kn bcinta!! Awas if inda focus!! Moncel, marahi ia ah if ia just fooling around (as if the both of u went to the same Uni)..

Jamz, i almost forget that u'r planning to further ur study as well.. Ehehehe.. Something caught my attention actually.. Hahahaha.. :P Dear ex-wife of mine.. Need my advice? U dont really need it actually coz as i said earlier that everyone knows what they're best at.. From my point of view, the good thing about u is the fact that, u'r neither bad in calculations nor in theories.. U have an active mind.. I suppose, thats why u have lots of those 'assumptions'.. U'r good at boths.. Might not be the best (ouch), but u manage to balance the both.. One thing that i envy about u is the fact that u are full with determination.. With this, i strongly believe that u can achieve more successes in the future.. I always love u too.. I've checked the programme structure for BA Business Management.. Nice, ada attachment but its still extremely tough though.. Buleh kpisan alai ni.. Hahahaha.. Rahman, i wonder if u'r up to this.. I bet not.. Moncel, its a total no-no for u.. Hahahha.. Jamz, not for u either..

I do have the programme structure too.. Wasnt, as heavenly complicated like UNISSA.. I wanted to see friends of mine, doing the Public Policy and Administration.. But gosh.. It wasnt easy.. To be on the safe side, the Accounting and Finance course is the best for everyone.. I'll try to scan the programme structure for UBD.. Soon!!
